Mary Ivancic, intern
Mary is passionate about understanding the scientific mechanisms behind human behavior and applying that knowledge to social challenges. With her regional knowledge of the Middle East she is eager to develop nuanced and lasting solutions to complex issues throughout the region. Through this kind of work Mary seeks to expand the practical applications for neuroscience and psychological research.
Mary holds a master’s degree in Middle East Studies from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College. She speaks native English, as well as Modern Standard Arabic, Levantine Arabic and German at advanced levels. She also speaks intermediate Italian.
