Nicole Jaimes Morán, SBC Local Coordinator

Nicole is an SBC Local Coordinator at MAGENTA. She is a human rights lawyer specialising in gender studies and has 6 years' experience designing, implementing and evaluating various gender mainstreaming programmes in Mexico and Latin America. Working as a researcher and consultant with a focus on gender-based violence and inequality topics, her areas of thematic expertise include technology-facilitated gender-based violence, economic violence, and femicides.

At MAGENTA, Nicole coordinates activities in MAGENTA’s flagship programme to prevent technology-facilitated gender-based violence in Mexico. She works closely with international and local partners to deliver a comprehensive campaign strategy to tackle harmful social norms and build capacity. As part of this project, Nicole has delivered participatory co-design and capacity workshops to local partners and CSOs.

Nicole holds a master’s degree in Law Philosophy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and speaks native Spanish and English.
