Wissal Kehal, Social and Behavioural Change Intern
Wissal is a Social and Behavioural Change Intern at MAGENTA with experience supporting the design, implementation, and evaluation of social and behaviour change initiatives across development and public policy contexts. Her work focuses on applying behavioural insights and data analysis to inform evidence-based programming and decision-making.
Wissal has collaborated with the World Bank’s Mind, Behavior, and Development Unit (eMBeD), where she supported the evaluation and monitoring of Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) campaigns in Morocco focused on maternal and child health and nutrition. Her role included survey design, data management, impact evaluation, and statistical analysis of behavioural indicators such as knowledge, attitudes, social norms, and practices related to exclusive breastfeeding and early childhood development.
Prior to this, Wissal worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Sheffield, contributing to qualitative fieldwork on the green transition within the Moroccan garment industry through stakeholder interviews, data collection, and policy analysis. She also collaborated on the Global Social Connection Research Project with the Annecy Behavioral Science Lab, conducting cross-cultural qualitative research on loneliness and social connectedness in Morocco.
Wissal holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences for Public Policy from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, with a specialization in impact evaluation, experimental methods, and applied behavioural research.
