Zaynab Farhad, SBC Programme Manager

Zaynab Farhad is a dedicated advocate for gender equality and women's empowerment with 7 years of experience working in the private sector and humanitarian organizations such as Oxfam and Human Appeal UK.  As a passionate gender and advocacy specialist, Zaynab has designed and implemented programs that promote gender equity and address gender-based violence in conflict and post-conflict settings, with a key focus on Iraq. Zaynab's expertise includes developing community-based interventions that aim to challenge harmful social norms and promote women's participation in decision-making processes. Zaynab has worked on numerous advocacy campaigns in collaboration with local CSOs, youth, and government partners, leveraging their knowledge and experience to influence policy and social change.

Throughout her career, Zaynab has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a talent for motivating teams to achieve their full potential. She is skilled in agile project management and has a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.


Zaynab holds a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering and speaks Kurdish, fluent English, Arabic, Assyrian and conversational Turkish.
