The Challenges

Young women and girls in the southern regions are facing multiple challenges in achieving their goals & dreams:

• They are particularly hard to reach

• They have very few opportunities to make their voices heard

• They suffer from social pressure and lack of support

Our Social And Behavioural Insight

• The international audience and possible donors knows very little about the context and the challenges those women are facing.

• Youth and women in the south region can be very hard to reach and think they are on their own.

• Local authorities lack means.

What We Did

• We produced a video highlighting the challenges and success stories of resilience fostering initiatives of young women in different municipalities in the South of Tunisia.

• The video illustrate the situation of young women and girls in the south region, show challenges they are facing, their resilience, how they are working against and despite these challenges.

Impact

• A 15 min documentary including testimonies of women from the south region and interviews.

• A 1 min trailer for the video promotion on SM.
